“Done properly, parenting is a heroic act… done properly.”

The first Incredibles is the first movie I remember absolutely loving seeing in theaters, and have been waiting impatiently for the sequel ever since. This movie has some of the nicest looking animation I’ve ever seen in an animated film. Even though I’ve seen it several times now, I’m still sitting in awe at the textures and such seen in the movie.

Incredibles 2 was a whole lot of fun, it was awesome finally getting to see the whole range of Jack Jack’s powers unfold as the family did. Each of the characters got their moments, but overall Jack Jack stole the show every time he was on screen.

“Done properly, parenting can be a heroic act!” was probably my favorite line in the entire movie. The lesson being that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero, being an awesome parent is just the same, and I thought that was an awesome message that Pixar was able to convey.

I was surprised at the mild language in the movie, and although male shaming jokes are sometimes funny, I think they’re kind of overused. Those things knocked off a few points, but I still seriously loved this movie! 9/10.
