Ralph Breaks the Internet

“When you break the Internet you don’t literally have to *break* the Internet!”

Yesss

Aside from it being Wreck it Ralph, seeing a Tie Fighter chasing Iron Man across the sky in the trailer really sold me on this movie. Being chased by storm troopers, and seeing all the Disney Princesses interacting with each other (with their original voice actresses) in one room was awesome, but I really liked the story.

Although it wasn’t as good as the first, the same can be said about the first Wreck it Ralph where the story is fairly mature and not a lightweight “be friends with everyone” type story. The main message of the story (also similar to the first one) involved friendship, and how being best friends can involve letting them go to accomplish their dreams, even if it means not seeing them as often anymore, and that really hit home for me.

The only issues I can think of I had with this movie involved the princesses and the delivery of the “big strong man solving problems” line. It was a funny line, but I think Mulan or Moana should have been given that line rather than Rapunzel, but that didn’t take away from the experience. My second issue, I won’t go into detail because of spoilers, but it was towards the ending where I feel like they went a little over the top. I get what they were trying to do, but I think it could have been done differently.

I didn’t like this one as much as the first one, but it was very very close, I’ll give it a 7/10.
