A Year In Film: 2019
2019 was an amazing year for film! Here are my top picks from this year.
Frozen II
It's been six years since the world had "Let It Go" drilled into our brains, but now that it's target audience has aged up and moved on, was it to late for a sequel or did it stick the landing?
The Lion King (2019)
The Lion King (1994) is my favorite animated film of all time, and is placed in my top 10 films of all time. Does the photo-realistic remake capture the magic that the original shocked audiences with 25 years ago? I didn't particularly think so, and here's why...
Toy Story 4
Toy Story is one of those franchises I've been watching my entire life, with Toy Story 2 was the first movie I can remember seeing in a movie theater. I was extremely skeptical when they announced this film. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
"It's you and me bud. Always."Hiccup Dreamworks for me personally has always been very hit or miss, but three hits in a row with the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy. This movie has some of the nicest looking animation I've ever seen in an animated … Continue reading Incredibles 2
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
"Do animals talk in this dimension? Cause I don't wanna freak anyone out..." Spider-Ham Aside from it being Spider-Man and I'm biased because I love the character, this movie was absolutely spectacular. I was hesitant going into this one, having not liked a movie by Sony Pictures Animation since the first Hotel Transylvania film, but … Continue reading Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Ralph Breaks the Internet
"When you break the Internet you don't literally have to *break* the Internet!"Yesss Aside from it being Wreck it Ralph, seeing a Tie Fighter chasing Iron Man across the sky in the trailer really sold me on this movie. Being chased by storm troopers, and seeing all the Disney Princesses interacting with each other (with … Continue reading Ralph Breaks the Internet
